One of the most spectacular and traditional events of the summer festival season this year is held in mid-August, 14-21. between.
The Debrecen Flower Carnival will continue to feature colorful programs this year!
Over the past 50 years, the event has enriched the event with more than 500 flower trolley compositions, over 1000 foreign and domestic art groups, millions of flowers, tens of thousands of contributors and hundreds of "floral" programs. This year marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Debrecen Flower Carnival, as the event returns to its old home, the renovated Nagyerdei Stadium, where the morning procession ends with a spectacular show.
Venue: parade route
The centerpiece of one of the most traditional and popular cultural events in Hungary is the 20th of August carnival parade where floral compositions made from hundreds of thousands of live flowers, nearly 5 meters high and 10 meters long, are accompanied by high-quality domestic and foreign dancers and traditions in the streets of Debrecen.
On the 20th of August, at the street stands in the morning, spectators will receive an armband during the entrance, which is the only way to make room for the stands. The existence of the armband is constantly checked by the organizers and the person without the armband must leave the stands. Performing groups perform in front of every stage. The parade is free to view from other stands, however, in such cases, visibility is not guaranteed, and groups present their shows exclusively in front of the stands. Under the age of 3, the morning procession is free of charge if the child is on his lap. The condition for free is that the child sits on his lap and thus does not occupy a seat. This is strictly checked by the security guards at the stands!
Tickets are available at the Kölcsey Center and the Character Cafe, as well as online at debreceniviragkarneval.jegy.hu. For more information on buying tickets, visit debreceniviragkarneval.hu
